Award Ceremony - April 6th

Annual Awards Ceremony

We are so thrilled to announce the 2024-2025 FST Awards Ceremony, on April 6th at 5:30 p.m.! As in previous years, the event will be held at The Muse Theatre in downtown Perry. This will be a night all about celebrating our athletes for their hard work and accomplishments throughout the 2024 Long Course and 2024-2025 Short Course seasons. We encourage everyone to dress up (Sunday dress is fine!), and come enjoy a night of awards, food catered by the Butcher Shop, and music from a great DJ.

This is a ticketed event. Tickets are $25/each, and must be purchased by April 2nd. To purchase tickets, be sure you are logged in to the website and then visit the registration page for your training site,
found here. Please note: There are two registration links for internal purposes, but there is only one award ceremony.

  • Click the event name "Award Ceremony" to read the event description.
  • On the next page, click "Add Attendee."
  • Select the swimmers who will be attending, by adding a check in the box beside their name.
  • Click "Add Attendee" and add the names for any additional tickets (parents, siblings, etc).
  • Click "Save" and then open the cart/checkout on the top right of the page.
  • Review your attendee list and ticket totals, then click "Next" and "Continue" at the bottom of the page.
  • Input required information (required information has a red asterisk, and is a site requirement - we cannot disable it) and then "Continue."
  • On the next page, "Complete Registration" and you are done!

An email will be sent to all registered accounts, confirming the number of attendees. We will keep a list of all event registrations and your confirmation email will serve as your ticket to the event.

We apologize, but due to the nature of the event, we are unable to offer refunds, so please be sure you are able to attend before registering.

See details on the awards given and the systems we use to determine the award winners:

  • Participation: All attending swimmers are called on stage by training group to receive an award. Swimming isn't an easy sport, and while they are called "participation awards," these awards are truly earned - by their hard work and dedication.

Note: Each of the following awards requires participation in at least one USA Swimming competition each year.

  • I.M.Ready: We recognize this achievement for all Bronze and Silver swimmers who have participated in the requisite events for their age groups. The event requirements can be found here. The purpose of this award is to encourage and reward those swimmers who push themselves to swim longer distances in all of the strokes, rather than just sticking to their "favorite" events.
  • I.M.Xtreme: Similar to I.M.R., but more challenging. We recognize this achievement for all FST swimmers who have participated in the requisite events for their age groups. The event requirements can be found here
  • Most Improved: USA Swimming assigns "Power Points" to each swimmer's race, based on how their time compares to other swimmers of the same age/gender throughout the country. To determine who qualifies as Most Improved, we compare each swimmer's Power Point totals from the previous year (2023-2024) to the current year (2024-2025), based on their fastest times in each event. The swimmer from each age group with the highest point total improvement wins! The idea is to swim a variety of events and always try to improve your times.
  • Motivational Time Standards are set by USA Swimming for each Quad (between Olympic years). We pull a report from USA Swimming and award swimmers for the highest standard they have achieved across all events, at any USA meet. See motivational standards here
  • High Point Winner: The top Power Point earners of the year are named our High Point Winners. These are our highest achieving athletes of the year.

A Note from the Coach: This subject is very important with our upcoming Divisional Meet. Your food is your fuel and proper hydration is vital during meet weekends. Equally as important is the food you consume, and when you consume it. Don't let a season's worth of hard training be negated by what you do or don't eat at a meet. There is a wealth of great information available on the Nutrition & Wellness section of the the SwimStrong dryland site. When preparing for Divisionals, pay attention to the "Swim Meets" category. This is also a fantastic resource to use throughout the season. Take a look around and find tips for achieving peak performance through proper nutrition! At this point in the season, we are continuing to focus on: Being consistent in practice attendance Improving technique and building endurance through the effort put forth in practice Gaining race experience and developing racing strategies through meet participation Having a positive attitude at all times and learning to overcome adversity Read more about the training cycles at this link .
