FST Masters Swimming

Thank you for your interest in joining the FST Master’s swim team! It is our goal to offer age-specific training for athletes of all ages, geared toward challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of their abilities. At our workouts, we aim to challenge every adult individual, no matter their skill level, while fostering a team environment.
 
What is Master’s swimming? 

An adult swim team, similar to our youth USA Swimming team. The coach will offer technique work and stroke progressions, and training sets to build endurance and speed.
 
What is Master’s swimming NOT? 

Adult swim lessons. The FST Master’s program is for adults who know how to swim forward crawl and backstroke, perform a butterfly kick, and who have a basic understanding of breaststroke.


Our Master's swimmers periodically attend USMS meets. Meet participation is fun, but not required. However, all participants must be registered with US Masters Swimming (USMS). Annual USMS registration can be completed at this link.
 



While we are a single Masters workout group with two sites, facility and schedule differences do exist.

  • Warner Robins Masters
    • The Tommy Stalnaker Aquatic Center offers a monthly membership for $40/month ($30 for Seniors). All FST Master’s participants at the Warner Robins location will need to enroll in the facility membership. 
    • Participation in the FST Master's program will be separate from the facility and USMS membership, and that cost will be $50/month for a coaching fee. There is also an annual USMS registration fee (paid separately to US Masters Swimming).
    • We will have group training 5x/week (M/W/F 5:30-7:00am, and M/W 6:30-8:00pm), with written workouts available for those who cannot attend, or who would prefer to train at another time.

  • Macon Masters
    • Held at Northside Pool, 5097 Northside Dr., Macon, GA  31210
    • Participation in the FST Macon Master's program will be will be $50/month for a coaching fee + facility contribution. There is also an annual USMS registration fee (paid separately to US Masters Swimming).
    • We will have group training in Macon 3x/week (M/W/F 5:30-7:00am).
